Race week hits Ensenada — 7th SCORE Baja 400
423.16 miles, a 16-hour limit, and a race that has produced exactly three different four-wheel overall winners in six runnings — one of whom won four straight.

The 7th SCORE Baja 400 takes over Ensenada September 9–13, with the race itself Saturday the 12th: 423.16 miles around northern Baja, start and finish on Boulevard Costero, 16 hours to get it done. Motos and quads leave at 5:00 a.m. PT, cars, trucks and UTVs at 10:00.
This is round three of four in the SCORE World Desert Championship. With one round left after this, a strong result matters to the championship. So does getting to the finish. The shorter name doesn’t make 423.16 miles an easy day.
The history here is short and lopsided. Six runnings have produced three four-wheel overall winners: Ryan Arciero took the first in 2019, Bryce Menzies won four consecutive from 2021 through 2024, and Ensenada’s own Alan Ampudia broke the streak in 2025. Winning your hometown race in front of that crowd is about as good as this sport gets, and it sets up Saturday’s question: can Ampudia repeat, or will the Baja 400 get another winner?
Everything before Saturday is setup. Qualifying registration and the Method Race Wheels session run Wednesday and Thursday, and Friday hands the boulevard back to the public for tech and contingency. Then 423 miles decide it.
